Raised in the Los Angeles independent theatre scene, I began exploring the intersection of art and community through technical production, including lighting, sound, stage management, set design, and marketing. My visual practice deepened at Ramón C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts High School, where I focused on photography, film, and 3D arts, while also developing my practice as a Work of Art intern at the art institution, Inner-City Arts. These early experiences shaped an experimental approach to materials and process, using visual storytelling as a way to build narrative and connection.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where I worked as a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer for the UCSC Sports & Recreation Department’s marketing team and as a studio assistant in the Art Department. Through collaborations with departments outside of the Art Department, I have expanded my artistic practice into other industries and fields, applying my creative skills in professional, interdisciplinary contexts. Working across photography, videography, graphic design, and printmaking, I experiment with alternative processes to engage diverse communities, including ice hockey, sports, mariachis, musicians, and performing artists, exploring the energy, culture, and shared stories that arise through collective experience.

I currently work with book artist Peter Thomas https://members.cruzio.com/~peteranddonna/.
